Stray Cat Rock no more …
The filmaker Yasuharu Hasebe died a few days ago at age 77. He was the director of a pretty interesting movie called Stray Cat Rock: Sex Hunter (which isn’t as dirty as it sounds), so it bummed me out to hear of his death. Reading about him, I also found out he made the movies Rape!, Raping!, and Rape: Thirteenth Hour, so maybe I really shouldn’t mourn him too much.
As an aside, the Japanese name of Stray Cat Rock is Nora Neko Rock. Nora Neko would be a cool name for someone from a film noir.
