I’m a little ashamed.
I got all annoyed at my class this morning and scolded them.¬† A lot of the problem was that we were supposed to watch a DVD, but of course, the machine in the room didn’t work.¬† I got all irritated.¬† While the guy was fooling with the machine, I tried to get my students to keep working on an activity I thought they had started before.¬† When like half of them started doing it, and half of them got all confused, I got mad¬†and asked them what was going on.¬† Eventually it came out that they hadn’t started the exercise last time — I had just explained how to do it.¬†
Actually, I can’t recreate the situation well here.¬† I just got all upset and irritated that the class wasn’t going like I expected, the machine didn’t work and stuff.¬† I didn’t YELL at the students or anything, but I acted angry and unpleasant.¬† I did apologize later on.¬†
The upshot of the whole DVD watching thing was that the guy took off to another room with it, where he apparently dropped it on the floor, scratching it badly.  We all relocated to the other classroom, where the equipment worked properly, but now we could only watch the DVD halfway through.

My student made me another copy, so it’s okay. Thanks!
