Not TOO many. CNN and the BBC are. Geocities and Blogspot are. Also, sites on “sensitive” topics, like a certain Lama, and a certain “evil cult” (which actually is kind of evil in reality) are blocked.

That cult has some adherents in Bloomington. They creep me out a bit.

Yeah. Me too. Part of their ideology is that if you have a physical or mental illness, you just practice their meditation and it will go away. The thing is, you have to quit your medication cold turkey at the same time. All of a sudden all these middle-aged diabetic women were ending up in comas because of it. That was initially why the group came to the government’s attention. There have also been suicides associated with people who went of thorazine and stuff like that because they believed FLG would cure it. I suspect the woman who set herself and her daughter on fire in Tianenmen Squre might have been someone who went of psychiatric meds as instructed by the group.

They kind of sound like Scientologists and antidepressants.

Their ideology is sort of a mish-mash that I think the founder actually ripped off from other groups. It’s a little bit tai chi, a little bit Taoism, and a little bit Scientology.
